Here a phrase that a woman was brought to my ears yesterday at an event held in St. Louis as part of the week surrounding the International Women's Day, March 8.
I suggest reading a few paragraphs of a textbook which reminds us that our legacy of gender relations is very unbalanced at times very heavy and that some changes in this area are very recent.
It should be noted that the forms of male domination over women are more visible in societies in which we do not live. It definitely does not mean they do not exist.
