Chelsea Charms Next Drain

I am back to Hangzhou! And finally the news ...

This beautiful city of about 6 million inhabitants is the capital of Zhejiang Province (prononcez. .. as you feel, because I know more than you ^ ^) ° and is located about 200km southwest of Shanghai.
Historically, Hangzhou was the capital of China during the Song Dynasty (960-1279), and was celebrated for her beauty

"上 有 天堂, 下 有 苏杭" = "There is paradise in heaven. And on earth there are Suzhou and Hangzhou"
famous phrase of the poet Chaoying (Yuan Dynasty 1279-1368)

After a quick 3 day trip, here are News:

Transportation:

To get there we first took the train to Suzhou (1:30), then we took the bus to Hangzhou (2:30). Contrary to what I expected, the bus was very nice, good ...

Housing:

We slept in a hostel Youth, which is located 2min walk from the lake in Hangzhou, so very convenient.
The room was very good, cheap, clean, and the corner was very pleasant, with a small terrace, billiards, TV, in short, perfect!

Only small downside, our room overlooked the courtyard of an elementary school, so we were woken up early in the morning music:

To our first wake up Tuesday morning was the first school day of the week (Monday being a holiday, the feast of death) and we were able to attend (our window) to the raising of the flag! Then to the gym daily grandchildren ... It's very funny to see, and then casually it can only do them good.

West Lake (西湖: Xihu)

The city is very nice, very quiet but also very pretty. The main attraction of Hangzhou's West Lake. Nothing to do with that of Nanjing, this one is really beautiful (not that that Nanjing is ugly, but it is not comparable). Just for info, what lake is 15km in circumference.

notament It shows the beautiful pagoda Leifeng:

Small bridges very nice, and beautiful night vraimenent:

And the greenery and plants everywhere

The mountains of Hangzhou:

The West Lake is surrounded by the city and mountains, mountains Of course we visited.

We are also mounted at the top of the mountain by cable car of course: great view, but visibility was not great (as always tell me, pollution requires)

Lingyin Temple ( 灵隐寺):

We visited the Temple Lingyin (灵隐寺) which is one of the greatest Buddhist temples and more prosperous China, otherwise known as (or translated) "Temple of the retreat of the soul."

As you can see, there are many Chinese who come here to pray, front of the Temple. But they are not alone ....

The site is decorated buildings and historical works such as pagodas, pavilions, bridges and statues.
The largest is the stone pagoda pagoda Ligong (理 公 塔) , you can see the next picture. It houses the ashes of Huili, the Indian monk founder of the temple.

This important monastery is surrounded by numerous caves and religious sculptures carved directly into the rock. The most famous is Feilai Feng (飞来峰).

Caves Feilai Feng (飞来峰):

Translated by "peak which sank here", these caves habritent so many Buddhist sculptures:

Hangzhou Night:

This city is beautiful day and beautiful night:

And the star attraction, a small fire to artifice!

You will soon find all my photos on my picasa (well almost all, because I think it's better that I sort my 800 and some photos ..)!
